04 Things to look out for
-
Brew finishes too fast
If your total brew time falls below 3:00, grind finer or slow your flow rate. Target roughly 4g per second.
-
Brew stalls past 3:30
If your total brew time runs over 3:30, grind coarser or pick up your flow rate. Same 4g per second target.
-
Uneven bed
Make sure your setup is level and your pour is steady and evenly distributed. A Melodrip can help maintain a consistent flow.
-
Adjust for coffee age
Very fresh coffee may need a coarser grind to hit your targets. As the coffee ages, dial in finer over time.
